YOON C. JOYCE: A Chameleonic Artist!

Paola, Beatrice and I had the honor and pleasure of meeting Yoon C. Joyce, born Yoon Koo Cometti, Korean by birth and Italian by adoption.

An all-round actor and artist, Yoon C Joyce revealed himself to be friendly, intelligent, brilliant, and was able to modestly give us a pleasant and interesting chat, in which he told a lot about his personal and professional life, his work and his future projects.

For those who don't know him yet, Yoon began his acting studies at the age of 13 in Rome and continued them in Milan and finally at the Actor's Studio in New York. Today he has more than 40 films under his belt, shot with the most famous actors and directors, among others: Martin Scorsese, Leonardo Di Caprio, Ridley Scott, Cristopher Lambert, Gabriele Salvatores, Elio Germano, Michael Madsen, Leonardo Pieraccioni, Benson Lee, Louise Nero, Jake Gyllenhaal, Edoardo De Angelis.

A man  with multiple artistic facets, in addition to acting,  Yoon also knows how to lovingly express his artistic qualities through painting, writing and much more.

Yoon recently wrote and published a book entitled ELOHIM, whose setting and plot sees the protagonists deal with biblical themes from the Old Testament and move in parallel dimensions.

Although he has no memories and knows almost nothing of the Korean language, he was only three months old when he was adopted by an Italian family who took him to live with them  in the Bergamo area, in Italy; he described to us with deep emotion that intimate bond and those roots, which he still feels strong towards Korea, that very distant country where he was born 48 years ago.

But we will discover these and many other aspects of this nice and elegant actor, which this long but intense and true interview will give us.
