Kotalia and Time of Korea meet the Korean Kpop group TRENDZ for an exclusive interview at the Legend club in Milan, thanks to Kpop Italia, for the only Italian stop of their European tour.
Trendz is a South Korean music group formed in 2021 under the label Interpark Music Plus. The group consists of seven members: Havit, Leon, Yoonwoo, Hankook, Ra.L, Eunil and Yechan.
Trendz debuted on January 5, 2022 with the album "Blue Set Chapter 1. Tracks", immediately attracting attention for their energetic musical style and engaging choreography. Their music ranges between different genres, mainly pop and hip hop, typical of K-pop, with lyrics that deal with youthful and universal themes. Despite being a relatively new band, Trendz are quickly gaining popularity both in South Korea and internationally, thanks to their social media presence and live performances.
The age of Trendz members ranges from 18 to 24 years old, the oldest of them is Havit and the youngest is Yechan, the group's fandom is called Friendz, from the name Trendz and the word friend, because their fan is like a dear friend who will face everything together with them.
Eunil and ra.L kindly met us to tell us about TRENDZ!
° We meet Eunil and ra.L who, after the concert, agree to answer our questions to tell us about themselves and let us know more about them and TrendZ.
°First of all, thank you very much for meeting us and agreeing to do this interview, how was your band born and when was it born?
ra.L "Thank you and we are happy to meet you. We were born in 2022 and after a trainee period, we finally debuted on stage with the name TrendZ"
°How did the name TrendZ come about and what does it mean?
ra.L "we chose the name TrendZ, because it has an important meaning for us, we are 7 members, 7 kids of the generation called "generation "Z". Generation "Z" creates many Trends around the world, so we chose to call ourselves TrendZ!"
°Who is the artist who inspires you for your music and choreography? Who inspires you the most?
°ra.L "Our inspirations and the artists who inspire us the most are and we respect very much are first of all Joung kook and our Seonsaengnim BTS, we love his music and his art and I would like to be like him we admire all the members of BTS, we are also inspired by the choreography of Stray Kids our Seonsaengnim with Enhypen, I really love their chemistry and their energy when they are on stage. ( ra.L turns to all of them with the honorific title of teacher or someone more senior or in a position of authority such as a master.)
° we want to congratulate you because you really have crazy energy and drive, we really appreciated your concert this evening it was really beautiful, congratulations you really were fantastic, talking about the lyrics and music of your songs, how much of your personal life is told and are you inspired by your experiences?
Eunil "We write the lyrics to our songs, all together, we are inspired by many things, such as the things that have happened to us in our past, in our daily life."
° What is the most difficult thing you have faced in life together, the biggest problem you have experienced being a band? Have you ever had any clashes or arguments in your daily life as a band?
Eunil "No there haven't been any big problems between us..2 ra.L "we always try to overcome moments of misunderstanding" Eunil "as a team we are very united" ra.L "we talk to each other a lot, we have a good dialogue!"
°As a group, what is your biggest dream?
ra.L "I would like to make the whole world happy, we want to spread our message of positivity around the world with our music!"
Eunil "and we would like to win an award like the Billboard…. Yeah.. our dream is very big! we have a big point to reach"
° Are you working on something new? a new album?
"Eunil "we can say we are working on it, yes, we can't say much more but…. something new will come out soon!"
° You were in Italy last year, what did you like most?
Eunil "last year we visited Rome, but we couldn't travel much and visit Rome, we were very sorry we were sad, but this time when we returned to Italy we were able to travel more, it was cool!
ra.L" when we are here in Italy we feel a great energy, you are really perfect and everything is really beautiful, good vibes.
° The same thing applies to us when we visit Korea, it is a beautiful country, we think Korea is wonderful, we love and adore your country.

°If you could collaborate with other artists, of course we exclude BTS, who we know you love a lot, who would you choose?
