In recent years, Korean skincare has become very popular around the world, and fortunately also in Italy, certainly thanks to the great success of K-Pop dramas and idols, just think of the wonderful BTS, to the younger ones Stray Kids and the beautiful icons of fashion and style Black Pink.
I approached Korean skincare about seven years ago. Since most people who don't know my age think that I'm ten years younger than I actually am, I've come to the conclusion that it's really important to follow the precious advice of Korean women and dedicate at least ten minutes more to ourselves by applying a moisturizing product, rather than being lazy, going to sleep and thinking: "No… I don't need a good face cream, I'm still young anyway."
Watching a Korean drama for the first time, I was fascinated by the sparkle that the protagonist's skin gave off, it even shone!
I later discovered that it was the famous "Glass Skin” that all Asian women are looking for, including Japanese and Chinese women.

To have a Glass Skin, you must above all start from very clean skin, but it is essential to have a very high level of body hydration; therefore, it is necessary to introduce simple into the organism H2O. Once hydrated from the inside, we will have to hydrate the skin topically, therefore, the use of a thousand lotions, serums and creams on the market comes into play.

Having said that, don't think that Korean skincare was born only a few years ago, as we hear about it very often only in these times… obviously there are centuries of history of personal care and medical research behind it, because in ancient times those who knew healing herbs best were the healers, who generally discovered certain benefits of herbs on the human body first.
When we talk about skincare, we almost simultaneously talk about make-up. Modern Korean makeup is easily recognisable, as women (but also men) tend to have a base of BB cream or foundation of a lighter tone than their skin tone, to apply neutral tones such as pink or brown on the eyes and above all to use a gloss or lip tint to match the color of the cheeks, so as to create a face as healthy and young as possible, without weighing it down with the various contouring techniques.
