Dynamite first K-pop radio in Italy

August 9, 2026

This summer I accidentally came across the advertisement for MG radio which announced the program for lovers of the k-pop genre named after Dynamite.

I immediately started looking for it, enthusiastic about the fact that someone had developed a program for us lovers of a genre which, unfortunately, is not heard much on national radio except for the various global hits sung in English (without controversy, it is certainly made to export their art all over the world).

I liked the program so much that I felt the need to interview the main host of the program Elke Yozgatli, to learn how the radio was born and his passion for k-pop.

Elke explains to us that her passion for the k-pop genre was born during the pandemic period while we were all in our homes, maybe some of us felt a little lonely, a little melancholy, or angry with mixed feelings.

Before I listened to a completely different genre of music but from the moment I heard the song Dynamite by BTS, there was an explosion in me!

Elke together with other speaker friends spoke at the time in another podcast, made precisely to keep each other company during the months of the pandemic, then when luckily we were given the opportunity to return to a normal life, the director of MG radio gave the lead to the new program Dynamite, the first K-pop radio in Italy, to Elke helped by her director Mark (who intervenes and helps the speaker all the time in the program even though she is approaching this musical genre for the first time).

The work is very demanding, but fortunately there are collaborators, Giovanna Lascala e Paky from Palma de Mallorca of the editorial team, who every day ensure that we receive the latest news from the world of k-pop and from Korea in general.

Dynamite is a program entirely dedicated to the latest releases from the k-pop world, but there is space for any request from listeners… well yes, here we give space to the romantic and nostalgic side of the radio. Just as we once did, users are given the opportunity to request their favorite song and perhaps dedicate it to the person we have in our hearts at that moment.

Not only that, Mg Radio's Dynamite program offers listeners prize lotteries relating to the world of Korea, as recently happened with the winning of tickets for The Rose's concert which will be held in March 2024 in Milan.

Dynamite is a program that can be listened to on the official online channels: http://www.mgradio.mediasud.tv Monday 10.00am, Wednesday 3.30pm, Friday 10.00am

We at Kotalia are happy that there is a radio capable of satisfying our musical tastes so when there are projects with a lot of work behind them and people like us who share the same passions we are happy to support them and wish them fighting !
